The Block Party Cinema is a pop-up events company based in London. The company celebrates black and diverse culture through music, films, art and street food. Block Party Cinema started 18 months ago and has since hosted 6 sold out events.
On the 23rd of July 2017, there will be a screening of the Brazillian classic film called, City of God(2002). The theme of the event will be “bringing the rhythm of Rio de Janeiro to London”. If you are in London on that day, I will recommend you attend. The event will be held at the Juju’s Bar & Stage, part of the historic Truman Brewery on Brick Lane.
There will be live Salsa bands, dance classes, Rio inspired street food and a Brazillian cocktail master class!! You will also be able to take a journey around the hidden secrets of Rio’s Favela community with an onsite VR experience. The event is quite affordable, ticket prices start at £14.
