Our woman crush for this week is the first female FIFA (Federation Internationale de Football Association) secretary general. She was born on the 9th of September 1962 in Senegal. She is a Senegalese senior United Nations official.

She joined the United Nations World Food Programme in 1995 and she served as a country director in Djibouti and Cameroon. She worked at the headquarters in Rome. The UN president appointed her Deputy Humanitarian Coordinator for eastern Chad. She has worked off the return of thousands of refugees that chad currently holds as a result of Sudan conflict-torn Darfur region.

She was appointed the first female secretary general of FIFA on the 13th of May 2016. She oversees the commercial and operational side of the organisation.
